Marcus Lee will choose between Cal and Kentucky.

“It changes every few days,” Brian Lee, Marcus’ brother, said. “It’s a tougher decision than most think. He likes both situations.”

Lee, a top-30 player in the 2013 class, hosted Cal and Kentucky in separate visits earlier this week.

Lee will visit Kentucky on Oct. 12 for Big Blue Madness.

"It was a no-brainer," Mathews said of choosing the Golden Bears over Kansas State, Wake Forest and Marquette.

Jabari Bird Commits To Cal

Sep 5, 2012 8:19 PM

Jabari Bird has committed to California, canceling scheduled visits to Washington, Oregon and Colorado.

"I just feel like Cal is the right place for me. I woke up (Tuesday) and felt like it was time to decide," said Bird, who made an official recruiting visit to the campus last weekend. "It was comfortable, like I was at home."

Bird is hoping fellow Bay Area recruits Aaron Gordon and Marcus Lee also join him at Cal.

Bird, Gordon and Lee are all ranked amongst the 20 top recruits in the country.

"I'm definitely trying to get them now. Hopefully, they can be Cal Bears with me," said Bird, joined on the weekend campus trip by Gordon and Lee. "For the most part, both Marcus and Aaron liked the visit a lot. I'm just trying to build on that with them, so I can convince them to come to school with me."
